Parking was pretty easy on the street, though it’s kind of a pain to make a u-turn on Lake City Way. We went at about 7pm and it was perfect timing as we only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. It quickly got very crowded, so I’m glad we went earlier than everyone else. The staff seem hard to get a hold of when you want something, but they were pretty good about keeping our tea and water filled.
The sushi itself wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. There was something about it that just didn’t make me happy - it was missing something, or maybe was a little heavy on the sauce or something like that. I think my California roll didn’t have any avocado! Which, if anyone knows me, knows that this is a great injustice, as avocado is the greatest fruit available to mankind. (I dream daily of the avocado burgers we had in Santiago, Chile…mmmm…. that’s another post though)
I had the tempura fried ice cream which was definitely worth it, if not for being too large for me to actually finish. A nice cake and tempura batter over a giant soft-ball sized ice cream. I heard other patrons extolling its values as we were leaving.
All in all, I would probably go back, but only because it’s close to my house. I still don’t have a favorite sushi place around here. I’m never satisfied.

Not the sushi place you go to when you really want good sushi. It is the place to go to when you want cheap sushi. It’s particularly good for takeout, as my main problem with this place is that there never seems to be enough servers. You kind of just sit there and feel bad that one girl is basically serving the whole restaurant.
It’s not the freshest or most interesting sushi - tonight my avocado had some brown spots - it’s still decent enough though. I used to live a block away, and I would frequently pick up their sushi special of 16 rolls of sushi for $6.95 on my way home from work. My boyfriend pointed out that they only like to list rolls on their menu, but I’m sure you ask, they will make you some nigiri or sashimi.
There are only a couple tables, and the parking lot is shared with the nearby pub, but you could probably park around the corner pretty easily or better yet, take the bus.

If you don’t go here expecting star sushi, you won’t be disappointed. It’s all you can eat sushi, so you can’t expect the ultimate in freshness or top ingredients, but with a lively crowd any all you can eat place can be decent enough to fill your belly. We went on a Sunday evening, and there were quite a few people there but still about 10 open tables. I think I like the service better at Todai’s, but all in all this place is good. The desserts and hot food were a nice compliment to the sushi.
I’d go back if I was going with more people than just my boyfriend, but if I’m craving sushi I’ll stick to Sushi In Joy or Kiku Sushi.

Really awesome service, very friendly staff. They also have a large selection of food, both sushi and more traditional Japanese food. They are also open on Sundays, which I find that a lot of other sushi places (in Bellevue at least) are not. Good sushi, fresh and tasty. There is nothing that stands out in my mind that makes this place “super aweseome”, but I like going here nonetheless.
Go before 9pm and get a little shopping done at Uwajimaya while you’re at it!

From the outside, it looks like just another restaurant in a strip mall among strip malls. Once I stepped in the door, however, I realized how spacious and well-planned this restaurant must have been. There are many tables, and sections divided up on what type of meal you plan on having (just sushi or do you want to grill too?) with large stainless steel fans above the grill tables.
We went on a random Monday night, and it was exceptionally crowded. I admit that we weren’t looking for something as upscale as this place turned out to be - I just didn’t feel like cooking that night. The waitress said we had to order a minimum of two meat dishes to be grilled, which was unfortunate because the two of us never eat that much food to begin with. We took a couple of the waitress’ suggestions, and also got a single order of tuna sushi just for kicks.
The spread was gi-mongous, and we barely touched a lot of it. There was a large salad for us to share, and at least 7 different side dishes (of which we sampled each one and that was it.) For the main entree, we received two large plates of meat and 3 different kinds of very awesome sauces for them. The grill was great and we definitely filled ourselves up.
Honestly, I don’t remember thinking the sushi was good, but then, if I had known the grill part was going to be so huge, I would never have ordered it in the first place. I would have to sit down and have a real sushi-only meal to give this place a fair rating in that area.
My drink was always full and the waitress was very helpful. I would go back to this place all the time if it wasn’t so expensive.

Been here a couple times, good food, good atmosphere. nice comfortable place to eat with decent selection. I haven’t been in a while, I can’t remember everything about it; I just remembered that I liked it. I remember the staff being super nice and friendly.
If you are driving down Bellevue Way, you won’t see it immediately as it is in a little complex behind a gas station.
Lately I’ve really enjoyed ‘chef selections’ and bento boxes, and this place has a good variety.

not the best sushi around (although, i’m not sure if i can qualify any place as the ‘best’). very fast, professional people, tastes pretty good for being a little kiosk between borders and washington mutual.
small menu but what they make is good. i don’t go anywhere else for sushi when i’m downtown for lunch. i like to get the ‘zen garden’ combo - it’s a small salad with sesame dressing and 6 pieces of california roll for $5.95.
they also have this little card system equivalent to a punch card - the bottom of it says ‘i-reward’. basically, everytime you buy something there they record the amount of purchase on the card and give you a percentage in ‘credit’. i haven’t used my credit yet, but with 11 purchases averaging $14, i have $7.27 saved up to use.
one big tip: i love bubble tea, and you really don’t want to get it from here, which is totally disappointing. i gave them a couple tries, but they are usually too busy to pay attention to making it for you and both times the tapioca balls were very undercooked.
